16' research and sampling trawl net. Trawls are Semi-Balloon type with a full cut. Built with a #9, nylon 1-1/2" stretch mesh. Hung on a 3/8" dacron rope with thimbles installed at the end of 3' extensions. Six (6) 1-1/2" X 2-1/2" sponge floats on the headrope. #15, nylon 1-1/4" stretch mesh codend. Codend fully rigged 2" net rings for lazy lines and 1/4" delta knotless codend liner. Loop chains are installed on foot rope for weight. Trawls come rigged with onto 15" X 30" otter trawl doors and 5/16" X 150' tow lines. Nets are treated in a green or black abbrasion resistant latex dip. For an even more durable trawl oil based resin treatment availble for an additional 20%.
